Violin, Viola, & Cello

I am a viola player primarily and mainly teach violin and viola students. I can teach lessons to students of all levels for these two instruments. I love teaching students the fundamentals of these instruments, helping students build their skill set to get them from the basics into more complex content, and pushing advanced students to the very intricate details of high level playing. I also have several years of experience teaching cello students, and feel confident teaching cello students through a moderately advanced level.

There was a shortage of cello teachers in my area when I started teaching lessons, so I started teaching cello students to help fill that void. As I started teaching more cello lessons in the last few years I have been happy to build upon this skill set. I feel very comfortable teaching beginners and intermediate cello students and have been successful in pushing intermediate students into advanced materials. If I am teaching a student cello and they get to a level beyond what I am comfortable teaching I have several teacher friends who are well equipped to teach highly advanced students who I would be happy to recommend.
