Adult Students

I know that many people are very insecure about starting to play an instrument in adulthood, but my adult students have been some of my favorite to teach. I work with my adult students to feel comfortable in taking risks with their learning, and I understand that they are busy individuals with lives and schedules that do not look the same as a child's. I have found great success and great enjoyment in teaching adults.

I also have adult students who played in orchestra in school but haven't played in years. It is so fulfilling to see these students discover the joy of playing all over again. It is amazing to see what their hands can remember that their brains may not, and they are always surprised at how fast it comes back to them.

My adult students have often commented to me about how impressed they are with how much they have learned from our lessons and how happy they are to have added or reintroduced this skill into their lives.
