The Violin

The violin is an iconic, very well-known instrument. Most historians agree that the instrument has been around in a pretty similar form to the modern-day violin since the 1500's, but there were many instruments that would be precursors to the violin for centuries before that.

The violin has a brilliant and versatile sound. It can be lively and playful; it can be somber and longing. It can play classical music that has been around for hundreds of years, or it can play modern pop songs that you'd hear on a top 40 radio station. That's probably one of the things I love most about the violin and the other instruments like it; I get to bring to life so many different kinds of music through playing these instruments.
