The Harp
The harp is another very recognizable instrument. While the harp didn't appear in its modern form until around 1810, the harp, in some form, as been around since incredibly ancient times. The first documented records we have of the harp are from Ancient Egypt! I have always been fascinated by the harp. Growing up playing in orchestras it was always such a special treat when we got to see a harpist in a concert or hire a harpist to play with us at one of our concerts. I remember wanting to learn to play the harp as early as the age of three. I wasn't able to get the opportunity to start learning it until adulthood, but I am ecstatic that I got to at some point! I absolutely love playing the harp and sharing its music with others.

The harp generally plays on its own as a solo instrument for events, but of you are interested in having it play with other instruments we can absolutely coordinate something to make that happen! The pricing for booking a harp for an event is different than that for other instruments because of how delicate and large it is. Transporting a harp is quite a bit of extra work and takes a great deal of specialized care. An assistant may also be required to help with transporting and safeguarding the harp. The pricing is calculated much like how it is described on the "Ensembles" page of this website, just at different rates to account for these additional needs.
